Unexpected Gifts

On Monday we received several unexpected gifts - two neighbors independently decided to give us some bags of clothes that their kids had outgrown. I am always appreciative of these gifts since it's really tough to shop with two little ones in tow.

I was struck that both neighbors decided to bring them on the same day, but it took me several days to figure it out.

It was those paper rolls!! On Monday morning we shared a whole box of paper rolls with friends for a group kids craft. Those rolls which had been hanging out for so long (in our Helpful People & Friends bagua area of the house) finally made it out into the world again, and with that space opened up, some new things came in.

And not only that, think about what form the new things took! Just as we reused/recycled and shared the wealth, our neighbors did in the same way (but even better).

Now, doesn't the universe have a sense of humor paired with an expression of generous grace?
