Just did some very overdue clean up in the kitchen tonight, while chatting with my hubby over topics that we both needed to air. Good conversation and positive things for our future. It felt so effective to wipe down all the counters, wash the dishes, scrub the pesky stains from around the burners while we talked - simple stuff, but how clear and shiny everything looked and felt after we were done.
Cleaning the kitchen has been on my mind because our kitchen falls into the feng shui Marriage bagua of our house, and we just celebrated our anniversary last week. The energy I've been putting into this part of our house has been higher in the past week because I've shifted how I've been cooking for us to increase and balance my energy. It has felt like this area of the house is needing some attention and freshening up, and it seems the universe was giving us some support today as well with how things seemed to flow. I decided to take a look at today's astrological transits (western astrology), particularly Venus (relationships) and Mercury (communication).

For hubby:
- Transiting Mercury in strong sextile with his natal Venus - good communication about love and relationship
- Transiting Moon in strong trine with his natal Mercury - making emotions easier to access than usual, making it a good time for us to talk
- Transiting Venus in strong opposition with my natal Sun - causing me to be more conscious of relationships today
- Transiting Mercury in sesquiquadrate with my natal Venus - also causing me to be thinking about relationships
- Transiting Mars in strong trine with my natal Jupiter (exact yesterday) - smoothing interactions with others and bringing positive perspective related to important relationships
- Transiting Jupiter in quintile with my natal Mars - lots of physical energy available (thus the whim to clean after a long day!!)
