Chi Moves, We Breathe

Today was a good day. YAY!! I'm so glad to be able to say it, particularly the way things have been going.

The sun still rises :)

A few things contributed:
  • The sunrise was beautiful this morning.
  • My 4-month old has started to laugh - and the weirdest stuff his sister does makes him do it.
  • Hubby could watch the kids for a few hours, so I got an awesome nap.
  • Both the kids napped too!!
  • I fit in a little time to do some cleaning and moving some items around - out of hallways and into closets.
  • Some spaciousness showed up so I could do some creative things this morning. WOW!
What does this mean? Well, I don't think it means the crazy cleansing emotions are over (I will allow for my ups and downs), but I do think it shows that the energy is starting move itself through. We all slept better last night, thank goodness.

I also want to comment on items in hallways. Our house has reasonably wide hallways, which means it's possible to put things on the sides and still use it to get places. But on an energetic level, hallways breathe and let chi flow, so having items along the halls is a lot like plaque on artery walls - it's going to cause harm in the long run.

This evening I moved some boxes of next-size clothes into the kids' closets, labeling them clearly, and I slid our second laundry sorter next to the other one, making a tidy row. From clutter to purposeful storage. Wow, I didn't realize how that was restricting things, but as soon as I had everything into their new homes, it felt better through there.

In my recent feng shui reading, I've come across some interesting thoughts on how we experience clutter in our bodies (I look forward to chatting on another post), and today's experience goes hand in hand.

Where are you finding spaciousness in your life?
